Licensing Activity

In line with the vision of upgrading the qualities of human resources employed in capital markets, and directing the investors correctly, and improving the quality of services provided, SPL organizes examinations in order to determine the professional competence, knowledge and skills of employees of capital market institutions and publicly held corporations, and grants license certificates to candidates who pass the said examinations.

Within the frame of “the Communiqué on Principles Regarding Licensing and Recordkeeping For Those Engaged in Capital Market Activities” no. VII-128.7 (“Communiqué”) of the Capital Markets Board (“Board”), persons having certain job titles or qualifications and working in publicly held corporations and capital market institutions (institutions defined in article 35 of the Capital Markets Law) are required to have one or several of the licenses listed in the Communiqué.

Those working in the job titles or positions listed in the table given in Exhibit 1 attached to the Communiqué, and those wishing to change their existing position to the said job titles or positions, and those who are not presently working in any institution, but wish to work in these job titles or positions are liable to participate in the licensing examinations required by the said job titles or positions, and to pass the examinations, and meet the conditions sought for licensing.

Pursuant to article 7 of the Communiqué, for eligibility for a certain license, the candidate must have graduated from designated schools, and must be successful in the relevant licensing examination organized thereinfor. Candidates must have graduated from an at least 2-year Associate's Degree for Capital Market Activities Level 1 License and Residential Real Estate Appraisal License, and an at least 4-year Bachelor's Degree for all other licenses.

Persons holding a Capital Market Activities Level 3 License may work in jobs requiring Capital Market Activities Level 2 License or Capital Market Activities Level 1 License, and persons holding a Capital Market Activities Level 2 License may work in jobs requiring Capital Market Activities Level 1 License, and persons holding a Real Estate Appraisal License may work in jobs requiring Residential Real Estate Appraisal License.
